From a distance, the square and circle in this handwoven textile look like they are made from entire spectrum of colors, BUT, it is very regular stripes of blue, green and orange that are broken up by the black foreground which is at a slight tilt- breaking up the stripes causing your eye to blend the colors. The weave structure on the colorful stripes is very loose which makes these areas look like thick painterly brush strokes. Hand woven in early 2022 on a TC2 digital loom, cotton, 24”x40”
